Health & Wellness Focus

  • Vaccinations: We strongly encourage residents and visitors to stay current with flu and COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters as recommended. Vaccination is one of the most effective ways to reduce severe illness.

  • Hand hygiene and masking: Frequent hand washing, the use of hand sanitizer, and wearing a mask when symptomatic reduce the transmission of colds and flu. Staff and visitors are asked to follow facility guidelines.

  • Fall Prevention: Icy Conditions Increase Fall Risk. For residents who go outside, use appropriate footwear and handrails; inside, clear walkways of rugs and clutter, ensure adequate lighting, and use assistive devices as recommended by therapists.

  • Hydration and nutrition: Shorter days and cold weather can reduce appetite and fluid intake. Encourage regular meals, warm beverages, and protein-rich snacks to support energy and recovery.
